The offline, in-country edition of Komodo. Paper-based exam at a local venue — same pathway to the Global Round in Bali.
The Komodo Local Round is the offline, in-country edition of the Komodo International Math Competition. It brings the Komodo experience directly to students who prefer a traditional paper-based exam, a supervised venue, and the opportunity to compete alongside their peers.
The Local Round is organized in partnership with local schools, educational institutions, and math community partners across participating countries. Medalists qualify for the Komodo Global Round in Bali, around March–April 2027 — just like medalists of the Online Round.
The Local Round uses the same age-based categories as the rest of the competition. Age is calculated as of Online Round 1 (19 September 2026).
Registration for the Local Round is handled by each country's local partner. Arrive at the exam at least 30 minutes early.
Same medal structure as the Online Round. All medalists qualify for the Global Round.
All Local Round medalists — Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Honorable Mention — are invited to the Komodo Global Round in Bali, around March–April 2027.
Receive your invitation by email (and often through your local partner) with your medal tier and applicable Global Round discount.
