About KOMODO

A Global Stage for Young Mathematicians

The Komodo International Math Competition is a worldwide contest designed to challenge and inspire students through high-quality mathematical problems — celebrating analytical thinking, creativity, and resilience in young minds across more than 60 countries.

Vision & Mission

Why we built KOMODO

Two simple ideas — vision and mission — that guide every problem we write and every contest we host.

🎯

Our Vision

To inspire globally competitive, resilient, and adaptive problem-solvers through mathematical excellence — reaching every student, anywhere in the world, with access to a fair and rigorous competition.

🧭

Our Mission

To deliver a thoughtfully-crafted international math competition that develops not only technical skill, but also character, curiosity, and confidence — preparing young learners for the challenges of tomorrow.

What We Stand For

Three pillars of KOMODO

Every part of the competition — from problem design to scoring — is built around these three commitments.

01

Cultivating Adaptability

We foster initiative, critical thinking, and confidence so students can address worldwide challenges with curiosity and clarity.

02

Strengthening Resilience

Through rigorous mathematical competition, we build perseverance, focus, and a strategic approach to problem-solving.

03

Promoting Holistic Excellence

We nurture integrity, discipline, and well-rounded personal growth — because mathematics is more than just numbers.
